My Quiet Corner
I've always cherished the small moments that pepper our daily lives—those fleeting instances we often overlook, only noticing their absence when it's too late. While I'm not obsessive about capturing them, nonetheless they end up being the focus of my photography whenever I take a series of photos. The following images are frames I captured during my recent visit to Ethiopia, specifically from my parents' backyard.
እትብት / Etebt
Etebt, an Amharic term, refers to the umbilical cord—the essence of where you come from and who you are. With this project, I aim to capture people working in different creative mediums and understand what inspires and drives their creations. It's a mixed-media project where I'll compile video and audio interviews of these creatives, along with portraits I've taken or edited.
Radio Skidrow Supporter Drive
Images from a supporter drive event for Radio Skidrow's which was held between May 20th and June 30th. This included some outside live broadcasts aimed at connecting with the local community and highlighting local acts. The images were taken during these events using a Sony NEX 5 camera and edited in Lightroom and VSCO.
PA-Anon Walk May 2024
After a lengthy break, I had the chance to join PhotogAnon for a photo walk at the Whitebay Power Station. This location, closed for many years, was specifically opened for an event part of the Sydney Biennale 2024. The pictures from the walk, taken with a #FujiXT3, are showcased here. I utilized VSCO and its #AgfaUltra100 film filter to add warmth to the images.
The Other Australian
A brief though on The Other Australian series which captured the immigrant perspectives of life and living in Australia.
Framing Moments
With over a decade's worth of experience in creating images, I frequently encounter the question of my specialization in the vast field of photography. This query is always a challenge to address, considering my reluctance to box myself into a single genre.

Darwin in a brief foray
Last week I was in Darwin Australia for a brief work trip. It has been a long time since I traveled and this was my first visit to the Top-End. I am constantly surprised how much you can forget that Australia is a continent. It encompasses a myriad of locations from the icy cold mountains in NSW to the arid desert of Alice Springs and the tropical weather of Darwin.
